Work of the Week: LGBQT rights, Blueberries and More

Column Five is no one-trick pony; we’re constantly creating a variety of visual content with our partners. Whether it’s an annual report, infographic or live-action video, we love the challenge. But what we love most is getting to share these projects with the world, so we take time each week to do just that. Check out this Work of the Week, and if you want to see more of what we do, check out our portfolio.

An Interactive Visualization of Supreme Court Decisions (Interactive)

The furor over the recent Hobby Lobby decision inspired us to take a look at The Supreme Court Database, which tracks Supreme Court rulings from 1946 to present. From segregation to life insurance benefits for adoptive siblings, there are many fascinating cases, many of which have been long forgotten—until now. Check out our interactive to see the volume of cases ruled on, subjects covered, the most significant case(s) each year and whether the Court was more conservative or liberal.
